Watching Airplanes

So in between putting memos together, reviewing resumes and sitting in on meetings, I like to watch all the different airplanes land and take off from my window. Since I work right across from the Miami International Airport, I can see the runway from my office. When I watch a plane land or get ready for take off, I can't help but think about all the different people that are on these planes.

I wonder how many passengers are coming to Miami for vacation or for business trips. I think about how many people might be coming to visit their friends or families or about all the newlyweds coming to Miami for their honeymoons. I think about the pilots who are away from their families and every other scenario you can possibly think of. As I think about all the different life stories that are on one single airplane, I can't help but think about how much I want to be on one of those planes that I watch taking off everyday and the one person I would give anything to be able to go and see again :)

Haha, I know....I really need to stop thinking so much.....Good night!

The Idea of You

As if I don't post enough information about my life on Facebook, thanks to Shannon I have decided to start a blog :) Don't get too excited though, because this is not going to be one of those deeply riveting or overly revealing type blogs. You know the type where people share a little bit too much information about themselves? Instead, it will be just a place where I can share all my random thoughts and the happenings of day to day life. With that, I think the hardest part of starting a blog is coming up with name for your blog! After ten minutes of much consideration, the name "The Idea of You" decided like a good fit. It made me think about how we all tend have ideas or misconceptions about another persons life. I'll explain. There are always going to be those people that from the outside looking in, seem to have it all. This notion tends to make us forget that everyone has their own problems. No one has it completely made and no one has everything, even though it may look that way. Too often, we get lost in the idea of others, the idea of relationships or even the idea of ourselves that we forget what is best for us and forget to just live our own lives. Hence "The Idea of You".

So much for not being deep. Good night everyone :)
